Securities and Finance Associate (Greenwich, CT) (multi pos). Analyze financial data in the system output to ensure that it is in conformity with Interactive Brokers’ specifications and monitor trading system processes to ensure that the system conforms to company protocols. Monitor financial markets and the performance of individual securities. Analyze company finances to provide recommendations for public offerings, mergers, and acquisitions. Evaluate cost and revenue of agreements. Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of finance and investment trades to secure complex computer systems for trading operations. Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, or client interviews. Monitor customer trading activity using Bloomberg financial software for fraudulent activity and review customer account security activity by researching their history. Conduct a detailed study of specific customer trading activity using Operate Trade Browser based on any suspicious trading activity including researching specific security symbols, excessive order size, and price. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard client financial trading activity and information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Recommend investments and investment timing to companies, investment firm staff, or the public. Prepare all materials for transactions or execution of deals.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field, or Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or a related field, and one (1) year of work experience in the job offered or a related position facilitating financial trading within a brokerage services firm.
Also requires one (1) year of experience in each:
1) JIRA for reporting creating project workflows;
2) Confluence for creating, updating, and designing pages;
3) Utilizing trading platform to chart parameters and conduct technical analysis;
4) advanced market and scanners and associated data inputs/outputs; and
5) risk management system to analyze theoretical market scenarios and impact on portfolios.
