Splunk is growing its Enterprise Data Management team to focus on the delivery of high-quality data to support good business processes and decision-making.You will join Splunku2019s Enterprise Data Management team as a Data Quality Analyst focused on finance analytics. This includes corporate & department level metric used to measure & report on the performance of the organization both to internal and external consumers.You will use your understanding of practices in data quality measurement & analysis to work with business owners and build a quality framework for the data most critical to finance analytics, using effective measurement, insight creation, reporting, root cause analysis to drive data quality improvement within the both analytics and in the business areas providing data used for metrics creation. Youu2019ll partner with the Data Governance & Quality stewards for the various business operations domains and use the quality insights you generate to drive better, data ownership and enforceable data content entry controls necessary to improve and assure the quality of data used for critical decision-making analytics. When data quality issues are identified you will be responsible for ensuring good logging, prioritization, and resolution management in the EDM tracking tool. You will participate in business domain data working groups, using your quality analytics to identify and raise issues for participating data owners and users to take up and help resolve. You will also represent Enterprise Data Management on the u201CMetrics Enablement Groupu201D u2013 a working group established to drive enterprise standardization of corporate metrics, using topics & decisions from that group to establish priorities in data quality improvement.Responsibilities:You will implement data quality within Splunk through the following:Profiling of current system data to support data content standards definitionDefinition, build & deployment of data quality rules using defined content standards, to identify issues within and between systems & processes used to support order to cash operationsLogging & prioritization of identified data quality issues, using various impact measuresDriving data issue identification, root cause analysis, resolution planning & execution with business and IT ownersWorking with Business owners to quantify impacts of data quality issues to drive prioritization and remediation workSupport transformational programs via quality services such as data issue detection, and clean-up necessary to support deploymentProvide assurance on any data quality services delivered by external consulting servicesBuild & maintain a data quality master rule book for Finance OTC operations & manage change controlu00A0Requirements:Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, Statistics, Information Technologies, or related field5 years of experience working with or in business operations and reporting processesMinimum 2 years of experience in data quality related fieldAbility to engage, communicate & challenge effectively at manager level and above to provide clear, concise explanations of data quality practices & their importanceDemonstrable experience in executing data quality analysis exercises within complex, federated data, and system architectureExperience with automation of data quality cleansing & enrichment services, preferably with SAP Data Services, using both internal and external data sources (E.g., Dun & Bradstreet)Experience translating business data needs into technical language and partnering with IT teams to ensure effective QA / UAT of solution delivery.Experience working with offshore developer teams to scope, prioritize & manage work delivery pipelines & backlogsPrior exposure to finance regulations such as SOX, and data regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCIExcellent project/work management skills; Able to define and execute against priorities semi-autonomously with domain. Work effectively within an agile environment, using tools like JIRA, ServiceNow & confluence to prioritize, document and deliver data related services.Prior experience working in or with finance operations teams & systems, SAP a plusExperience working with SAP BODS/Information Steward, Snowflake, Tableau, or similar data management & governance toolsExperience working with financial systems products such as SAP S/4 Hana, Ariba, RevPro, FinancialForceWe value diversity at our company.
