Job Details:
The Sr. Manager - Investor Relations works with the Vice President Investor Relations to proactively communicate Tyson Foods’ financial results, expectations and strategies as well as business and industry dynamics to multiple external audiences and stakeholders, primarily institutional investors, sell-side analysts and retail shareholders. The position also helps to determine targeted contacts with the investment community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Stay current on market fundamentals of equity markets and the global protein, agriculture and food industries
Preparing materials for quarterly earnings, including managing and participating in the preparation process with internal teams to obtain and integrate data and content for the materials.
Schedule quarterly earnings call prep meetings and maintain minutes of the meetings for compliance purposes
Drafting investor communications, which could include: press releases, executive talking points, conference call scripts, quarterly earnings presentations, investor website content, fact sheets and investor presentations.
Work with the Vice President Investor Relations to plan the annual schedule of conferences and non-deal road shows (NDRS) by using a combination of investor targeting and metrics of sell side analysts’ effectiveness in previous NDRS. Schedule Tyson executives who will participate.
Collaborate with Meeting Services to plan and execute special events such as the annual shareholders meetings, investor/analyst days or lunches/dinners in conjunction with Tyson’s presentation at the Consumer Analyst Group of New York annual conference. Schedule Tyson executives who will participate.
Manage Tyson’s Investor Relations website (****by working with outside vendor to ensure it is compliant with SEC requirements and that content is current and consistent with the Tyson Foods corporate site
Identify under-indexed investors via purchasing power and peer holdings and develop contact plan to open dialogue
Manage and prioritize incoming requests for management calls from ESG investors with the goal of limiting senior management’s time to investors with substantial holdings
Summarize and distribute sell side analyst reports for the Tyson Stock Analyst Reports distribution list and maintain the list in the Account Request System
Collaborate for the completion of the CEO’s and CFO’s scripts for the annual shareholders meeting and work with Corporate Communications and the Corporate Secretary’s office to ensure the Chairman’s script and business meeting script are completed.
Work with outside consultants and agencies as needed for special projects
Identifying and communicating ways for the IR program to continuously improve, whether from a strategic, tactical or operational perspective.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: 5 years in a corporate, financial institution setting
Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong financial acumen and analytic skills
Comfortable interacting with executives, senior leaders and external stakeholders
Ability to lead cross functional teams to produce high-profile presentations and events under tight deadlines
Strong attention to details
Proficient at Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Travel:
5-10 trips per year
