ROLE TITLE: TREASURY LIQUIDITY PROFESSIONAL, SHORT TERM FUNDING & LIQUIDITY, TREASURY
LOCATION: 10 Molesworth Street, Dublin - Hybrid Working
This role is being offered on a PERMANENT basis.
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Within Treasury, the Funding & Liquidity function, classified as a mission critical activity in AIB, manages the Bank's short and term liquidity in order to ensure payments and Funding & Liquidity needs of AIB and its customers for both ROI and UK are met by ensuring sufficient funds across all currency accounts to meet customer and regulatory obligations.
This role within the Short Term F&L team involves applying clear standards of professionalism in all activities with the team. The Short Term F&L team interacts with numerous stakeholders within AIB.
The role holder will work on a dynamic team and will engage with the financial markets as well as a wide range of teams within AIB such as Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Financial Risk, Treasury Operations and Payments.
The role holder will gain knowledge of a variety of asset classes in diverse geographic markets developing experience and understanding of AIB's risk appetite and market engagement. The overall F&L team have a specific focus on managing Liquidity, Operational and Financial risks, maintaining constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders incorporating the below.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
*Work on a small team to ensure that AIB can meet all of its financing and liquidity requirements as they fall due at an economic price, including all contracted and contingent commitments to customers and counterparties. Ensure that AIB's Funding profile across all currencies is appropriate for its asset mix and a sufficient liquid buffer of appropriate quality is provided to protect the bank from any liquidity stresses. It requires significant management, reporting and adherence to regulatory and policy requirements. *Comply with all regulatory and internal funding and liquidity policy requirements including LCR, NSFR as outlined in the Group Risk Appetite Statement and ALCo business limit parameters and ensure their stability and adherence. *Execute and manage the out sourced activities of UK Treasury ensuring they operate within AIB and Prudential Regulatory guidelines and limits. *Management of and monitoring of Intraday liquidity in line with Basel Committee on Banking Supervision Principles and Guidelines for Sound Liquidity Risk Management and Supervision *Ensure adequate liquidity management processes as per article 8 of CRR of AIB subsidiaries - EBS limited and AIB Mortgage Bank. *Preparation of reports for key stakeholders *Ensure all activity is in adherence with all policies and procedures that govern the business *Support initiatives to continually improve processes and enhance efficiency, both within the F&L team and beyond. *Maintain a Personal Development Plan to continually improve skills and competency levels.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU CAN/HAVE:
*3+ years' experience in banking or finance, e.g. Treasury, Treasury Operations, Finance, Risk, Credit & Payments. *Be a self-starter who can either work independently or as part of a team. *Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure. *Have a lot of initiative and excellent attention to detail. *Have good communication skills. *Good understanding of Bank risk dynamics and international financial markets; Experience in Payments Systems and Processes is desirable. *Knowledge of economic and political trends which determine and influence Monetary Policy of the main Central Banks.(i.e. Eurozone, USA, UK).
