Job Description
Duties
Plans, designs, revises, implements, and maintains all or major portion of a complex financial/accounting system.
Ensures that systems designs provide capacity for conducting and maintaining effective internal controls (to include information systems security).
Thoroughly researches interrelationships of various accounting and business management policies and functions, accomplishes coordination with applicable organizations, and ensures consistent system integration.
Analyzes audit reports, management reports and other system indicators to review anomalies and trends that may be solved through either local system improvements or the development of system change requests.
Develops innovative system software change request and functional specifications to implement modifications and enhancements
Writes proposals and conducts meetings and conferences related to identifying, discussing, and resolving issues and problems relative to systems design and modification.
Reviews and assesses impact of DoD procedures and policies pertaining to the enterprise system and identifies specific problems and issues requiring further analysis.
