Summary:
The Senior Strategic Pricing Analyst role supports Strategic Pricing Team initiatives by providing analytical support related to corporate, category and business strategies involving investments in pricing. Strategies involve recommendations for base and promotional pricing as well as the support and maintenance of pricing activations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Conduct database analysis around all aspects of pricing such as estimating volume impacts due to changes in price, promotions, competitive response etc.
Natural inquisitiveness to exploring the data, mining the data and looking for insights to drive business decisions.
Understand and apply price elasticities and promotional lift factors effectively.
Provides analytical support to the Strategic Pricing Team, Marketing and Sales Strategy teams.
Integrate internal and external data to drive better understanding on decisions at the business level.
Build and present results and findings in PowerPoint and other effective means of communication.
Tracks execution and competitive activity.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong Excel and data manipulation skills. Business acumen.
Team player and contributor on departmental projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or master's degree in quantitative field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Required: 3 years relevant experience in pricing, finance, customer/trade marketing, sales analytics or category management in the CPG industry.
Syndicated Data experience - IRI, AC Nielsen, etc. Preferred: prior modeling and statistical analysis experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent communication and presentation skills
SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable): Modelling and data mining
SUPERVISORY: NA
TRAVEL: 5%
This position will be based out of our Chicago, IL office. This is a hybrid role - 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
