Aon is seeking a Senior Associate, Investment Operations within Aon Investments Canada. As part of a market-leading team, you will help create real results for our clients through innovative and effective solutions, working under the direction of the Consultant.Your impact as Senior Associate, Investment OperationsAs a Senior Associate within the Aon Investments Operations team, your role will be to perform operational tasks and provide operational support to the Portfolio Management team and to Aon Investments in general.Job Responsibilities:Client and Fund TradingSupervise the asset allocation, glidepath and hedgepath status of our clients according to their investment policy specifications;Perform rebalancing analysis according to client specifications;Perform day-to-day management of cash on hand for clients and Aon fund accounts;Prepare and submit required trades to investment managers and custodians;Verify trade execution with reports received from investment managers and custodiansFund operationsParticipate in tasks related to the establishment of new funds and changes to existing funds;Lead the production of the daily unit price analysis;Lead the execution of tasks related to the annual distribution of income and capital gains; the annual HST return; the annual and semi-annual financial reports; Participate in annual internal and external audits;Client ImplementationAssisting in the coordination of activities specific to investment operations related to client events (implementation, mandates changes, termination);Participate in client implementation meetings.Other tasksAct as a liaison between consultants, clients and custodians;Assist other teams with different tasks and projects;Ensure that written procedures are up to date;Verify work prepared by the associates;Plan and coordinate ad hoc work;Train and guide new employees;Provide feedback to manager and suggest operational improvements to increase the team’s efficiency;Work independently and lead projects with minimal direct supervision;Ability to lead team meetings;Assume manager role in his/her absence;Required Experience:3 to 5 years of relevant experience in investment or fund operationsPrior experience working with custodians, investment managers, investment consulting firms, actuaries, lawyers and other parties involved in the management of pension plans;Demonstrated operational excellence and customer service;Strong attention to detail and completion of high quality results;Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet timelines;Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English;Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word;Excellent problem-solving skills;Ability to work within a team environmentDesired Experience:CFA designation or participation in the CFA program is an asset.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent years of industry experience.We offer youA driven total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.Our Colleague Experience:From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.
