This individual will coordinate and organize large, multi-site, multi-disciplinary research activities to facilitate intra- and extramural collaborations with investigators world-wide. This will include working with intramural and extramural research groups to establish collaborative and service projects; all co-investigators; and provide oversight of those being trained in the HMTRC. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOne of the key responsibilities of this center Program Manager is the management of the Center website to facilitate smooth communication with individual projects and the research community, to provide training opportunities, to disseminate new technology resource on this ground-breaking research now moving from preclinical to translational research. With the center’s focus now moving to translational clinical research, this individual will utilize experience in research management and strong project management skills and analytical skills to allow professional and high-level managing of intra- and extramural research interactions to facilitate collaboration in this ground-breaking research. Additional responsibilities include project management, complex website management, complex day-to-day operational and research management to assist center director and program officer in tracking NIH scientific reporting goals are met, organize and coordinate intra- and extramural research meetings, special projects and events sponsored by the HMTRC for the Center Director, all center investigators, Research Center Program Officer including the center’s annual 2-day international hands-on workshop involving over 150 participants. u003cbr/u003eThe Program Manager will be responsible for the programmatic needs of the HMTRC and related projects. The individual will both participate in the strategic decision making of the Executive Committee and provide oversight for implementation. This position will be responsible for organizing and maintaining HMTRC records, process new center equipment and manage the installation of these center equipment, managing complex center research and laboratory supply needs, organizing weekly/monthly meetings, drafting u0026 dissemination of meeting minutes, coordination of annual External Advisory Committee meetings u0026 an annual international symposium, and overseeing other programmatic needs for the HMTRC and related projects. Further responsibilities will include editing scientific papers, regulatory reports, training modules, and maintaining the website as a critical tool for communication, training and dissemination. The individual will provide program management for the training of intra- and extramural investigators in center-developed technology including junior faculty, post-doctoral scholars, residents, and graduate students. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIn addition, this Program Manager will have direct budgetary oversight of the research projects under the HMTRC and also other related research projects including 2 U01s, a multi-site R01 and a P01. Monthly the Program Manager will review the effort report and expense reports provided by the post-ward analyst and will comment on any discrepancies and work on rectifying inaccuracies. In addition, the Program Manager will work on budgeting for all Progress Reports, Final Reports and Federal Financial Reports as needed by the different studies. Finally, the Program Manager will oversee and lead the upcoming renewal of the HMTRC.
