Chief Financial Officer

Profile

Employ is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented Chief Financial Officer to guide the company’s continued growth acceleration and enterprise value creation. The successful candidate will have proven experience scaling private equity-backed SaaS/enterprise software companies through organic and M&A led growth strategies.
The Employ CFO will have a broad range of leadership responsibilities, from board room discussions and public speaking engagements to hands on oversight of Employ’s finance, legal, operations, IT, and Security teams and be a key member of the Employ executive leadership team. They must thrive in a high-growth, fluid, and metrics-oriented environment, with a deep passion for driving results. This role reports to the CEO of Employ.
CFO Responsibilities:
Lead finance, legal, business intelligence, IT & Security teams
Serve as a key member of the Employ executive leadership team
Assess, evaluate, and optimize financial performance
Manage strategic planning and budgeting process
Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to establish and achieve yearly top and bottom-line financial objectives
Partner with CEO on M&A strategy, transactions, capital fundraising and integration planning
Optimize and improve the efficiency of internal Company operations
Implement, maintain, and audit internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
Prepare and present regular financial reports as required by management and Board of Directors
Strong leadership presence. Internal/external storyteller and simplifier
Public speaking –. both Iinternally and externally with industry analysts and investors
Manage the preparation and support of all external audits and diligence requests
Oversee the management of the Company’s capitalization table
CFO Requirements:
Experience scaling a $100M company to $500M and beyond either as a CFO or senior executive finance executive
Proven experience in a private equity or public company high growth business; prior experience taking a company public a strong plus
Strategic/operational CFO who will be a strong business partner to the CEO and be externally facing to customers/partners/board of investors
Previous experience in high growth, enterprise software environments and track record of successfully scaling a SaaS business
Experience with M&A (both buying and selling) and post-acquisition integration
International business experience
Deep SaaS model experience, services a plus
Direct and indirect customer acquisition model experience
“Hands-on” financial team leadership approach
M&A and integration experience
Ability to influence and motivate staff inside and outside immediate span of control
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
CPA or MBA preferred
This position is based in our Waltham, MA office.  This role requires the ability to travel as needed.
