Job Description:

The Functions across RDS are essential support arms to the main businesses and provide an integrated value across the Group.

The Finance Analyst sits within the R&A Functions reporting to the Functions PAR Lead and will form part of a pool of resources supporting activities relating to Month close, MI Reporting, Cost recovery, Planning tool updates, ESSA and business change Projects including active participation in Testing and implementation of new tools/systems. The Analyst should be a self-starter working with various interfaces in R&A Functions including the Functions FMs, Functions Transition Managers, Functions Planning Lead etc. and across other parts of FO including GSR, MRD and MI CoE.

Accountabilities:

The Finance Analyst will seamlessly work with multiple R&A Functions stakeholders in the following activities:

• Perform Month-close activities including analysing numbers and posting Cost/Revenue accruals, cost re-classes etc. and ensuring to the MJE guidelines.

• Support in keeping the data structure robust (Profit Center/Cost center/WBS -Hierarchy creation and maintenance working with MRD team) for the Functions.

• Work closely with the Functions PAR Leads to set up assessment cycles, support/interact with GSR (including Pre-billing team) on ECT creation, assist in query resolutions and ensuring timely cost recovery, ITD analysis, true-up/true-down.

• Support the Functions on LE/Plan updates in the Functions / Business Planning tools and ensuring that the numbers flow accurately into the MI Reporting suite.

• Assist in Functions wide initiatives such as Project Cumulus, MI/ Planning Improvement initiatives through performing UATs, data validation within the systems/tools

• Support the agreed R&A Functions Aspirations including World Class Close, World Class Controls, Data and Finance Digital Core, Touchless MI and reporting, Valuable insight and Data analytics and Simplified and Predictive Planning.

Dimensions/ Special Challenges:

This position requires an individual who has a passion to learn, continuously challenge status quo in the current working and making process improvements. The role requires a very structured approach, thinking ahead in terms of upcoming deadlines and challenges, and resulting needs for engagements and preparations. This role is in General Shift but would need flexibility to cover different time zones.

Skills and Requirements:

• Finance professional with 6 years’ experience with proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation.

• This position requires a strong business acumen, build credibility and have strong communication skills.

• Strong stakeholder management working with various R&A Functions team members and across other parts of FO.

• Ability to trouble shoot basic process and systems issues. Proactively identify process improvements and manage and drive change.

• Have a CI Mindset and the drive to challenge status-quo.

• Work collaboratively amongst a pool of resources to drive efficiencies and benefits for the organisation.

• Ensure application of relevant accounting policies and adequate control environment is maintained

• Knowledge of SAP ERP systems, reporting tools like Power BI and an understanding of GSR recoveries would be an added advantage.
