Job Description:

The US Pricing & Demand Management Team (PDM) is part of Americas Mobility business. The PDM team is one of the best teams to kick off your career in the Mobility business, as we are perfectly positioned between Trading and Supply (T&S) colleagues and Mobility Sales and Marketing teams enabling us to see/understand the end-to-end value chain process from a refinery to a gas station customer.

Our team is responsible for pricing the US gasoline and diesel and we are one of the most data driven and proactive teams when it comes to the new approaches in data analytics.

Our team is working on the implementation of machine learning technologies and constantly striving to automate all analytical reports collaborating with Shell's data scientist team, 3rd party software service providers, as well as leveraging tools such as Spotfire, Power BI and Alteryx/tableau.

When it comes to soft skills, your ability to seek external practices, explore best approaches across Shell and constant desire to introduce innovative ways of working will be essential for this role. Great stakeholder management skills and relationship building are necessary in delivering results through others while managing expectations.

Lastly, to enable successful implementation of new initiatives, you need to be an extremely organized person with ability to prioritize actions based on their urgency and estimated value at risk/benefit.

Role Expectations

As a Pricing Systems and Analysis Coordinator , you will be the backbone for all of our pricing systems and analytical tools. You will oversee, support and link various reports and databases providing competitive insights and advice, backed by solid data analytics.

In this role, you will collaborate with team members (internal and external to PDM) to collect and analyze historical and current trends and research external data and market intelligence to maximize business results. The role allows for flexibility in how to deliver but creates space for streamlined efficient and effective delivery methods to be innovate and do things differently.

In this role, you have the ability to collaborate with sales, T&S, finance, and global IT teams to learn, grow, and deliver. Lastly this role provides back up to other pricing coordinators on the team so that you gain even more commercial acumen day to day or as special projects arise.

Skills and Requirements


MS or BA/BS in Finance/Information Technology/Computer Science/Data Analytics/Database management;
4 years experience in computer science/data analytics/database management/information technology;
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, able to dive into data to identify issues, patterns and solve problems creatively;
Mastery level of GSAP, Data Warehouse, Spotfire; MS SQL Server; Oracle; Power BI
Mastery Level of all Microsoft Office applications;
Knowledge of VBA and/or Java is preferred;
