Profile

Interactive Brokers Australia Pty Limited, seeks individuals with drive and enthusiasm to proactively learn all aspects of the financial services industry. A professional demeanor suitable for interaction with an experienced and active clientele base is required, with a specific focus on funds and banking activities on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong math and technical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and explain complex subjects, and the capacity to identify opportunities for technology-based improvements. Both
full time and part time positions are available
, with a strong preference to be able to work flexible hours to fit into the Asian timezones where IBKR’s cashiering and treasury functions are centralised.
Responsibilities:
Resolve routine and complex client service issues in a thorough and expeditious manner, utilizing sound judgment with an emphasis on courtesy, with a focus on responding to and resolving queries, issues and problems relating to client funds and banking activities, including but not limited to:
Responding to client queries on deposits, withdrawals and other similar issues,
Following up with both treasury and cashiering staff across the IBKR network, as well as on occasion with the various banking partners of IBKR,
Liaise with various IBKR functions including compliance with regards to client issues relating to funds and banking activities.
Coordinate activities with other local and international Customer Service divisions and interaction with external departments such as Programming, Clearing, Cashiering and Compliance on common issues. Contribute to the development of client service systems, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred but not essential. Students completing degrees would be welcome to apply.
Experience in financial services position (e.g., brokerage, banking, trading, exchange or clearinghouse) preferred but not required. Will consider qualified college graduates.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to accommodate client
inquiries directed via telephone, email or online chat.
A general understanding of the following financial instruments: stocks,
securities options, futures, options on futures, foreign exchange and fixed
income preferred but no essential.
Working knowledge of various exchange operations and regulations, product
offerings and specifications, execution platforms and rules, and margin
methodologies preferred but not essential.
Multi-language skills a plus.
