EXPERIENCES, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
• 5 years finance experience, ideally in global matrixed organizations
• Experience partnering with cross functional stakeholders and influencing key business decisions
• Experience developing complex financial business plans (strategic financial plans, budgets and forecasts, Resource plans)
• Expert level analytical and modeling experience; tool and system expertise
• Ability to take complex information (financial and technical) and communicate concisely to broad audiences
• Ability to understand Global Technology business strategies and operating models
• An understanding of global and local business planning and investment governance processes
• Preferred experience in a Technology org/business unit
• Preferred experience in a consumer product, digital, wholesale or retail environment
DESCRIPTION:
Provides financial management and business partnership expertise supporting Nike’s Global Technology China Technology Center (CTC). Supports all local financial management and reporting activities related to the CTC, partnering closely with the local/regional controlling teams, site operations, business teams, technology teams, and other functional stakeholders including Tax, Legal, HR, Procurement, etc.
In addition to local responsibilities, the finance manager will also support broader Global Technology program initiatives, driving best practices and leading the development of the finance engagement model across global locations.
TOP-LINE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Local:
• Regulatory Compliance Management- Helps support local regulatory compliance issues related to Nike’s China Technology Center, interfacing with internal stakeholders as needed.
• Statutory Reporting- Helps supports the local and regional Controlling organizations, partnering closely with local teams (Tax, Legal, Finance) on accrual assumption and other statutory reporting requirements for month end closing.
• Financial Governance- Leverages a governance mindset to ensure appropriate compliance with financial policies
• Resource Planning- Helps with consolidation/analysis of the China Technology Center (CTC) resource and headcount plan, ensuring site capacity and affordability in-line with the overall Global Tech operating plan.
• Financial Close- Supports program-level month close and forecast process, ensuring actuals and forecasts in-line with individual team plans and the overall Global Tech site operating budget.
• Budget management reporting- Provides site spend analysis and Headcount reporting to Geo finance teams as needed.
• Vendor Management- Partners with the local procurement team on evaluating vendor contracts follow SOP and develops business cases to satisfy Global Technology governance requirements.
Global:
• Strategic Finance- Provides strategic financial partnership to the Global Technology teams.
• Business Case/Value- Manages the business case for the China Technology Center (CTC); tracks and monitors KPIs, provides spend analysis and resource reporting to GT finance and business stakeholders
• Business Planning- Supports business planning processes for the CTC on behalf of Global Tech Finance; supports global technology governance requirements as needed.
• Finance Partnership- Partners with individual Global Tech finance leads on development of financial plans.
• Site Reporting- Measures executional progress and provides recommendations to the broader global tech finance team, in line with Tech team specific operational plans.
