Location : Minneapolis, MN
Duration : 11 Months ( Extension Possible)

Job description:

The Senior Clinical Financial Analyst will be a member of the Post Approval Clinical Surveillance (PACS) finance team.
They will directly interact and communicate with clinical study team members and functional support at the individual contributor and leadership levels.
This position will be responsible for budget forecasting, financial modeling, cost estimate development and providing financial oversight and support to the clinical teams.
The position will also lead process improvement efforts associated with the business development process as it relates to cost estimating and proposal development for the department.
Additional responsibilities of the Senior Clinical Financial Analyst may include developing and overseeing clinical strategies for effectively assessing performance related to the ongoing evaluation of product safety and effectiveness following market release, collection/integration and or interpretation of clinical data to generate meaningful and actionable information, managing the timely completion of deliverables, and coordination of activities with clinical affiliates in conformance with applicable federal regulatory requirements.
The Sr Clinical Financial Analyst will work under moderate direction or supervision, while collaborating with clinical study teams and internal functions extensively.

Primary Responsibilities


Development of and updates to the departmental annual operating plan (AOP).
Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting.
Partnering with finance to reconcile monthly activity, generate year-end reports, and fulfilling other financial requirements.
Managing day to day processing of accounts receivable and payable, producing reports as requested.

Additional responsibilities may include


Develop creative financial strategies to address post-market clinical needs while maintaining a high level of scientific rigor and ensuring cost effective solutions
Drive collaboration and development of high value post-market clinical evidence plans to meet global regulatory, reimbursement, health care economics, and quality needs
Function as key point of contact for assigned therapies for post-market clinical development support

Basic Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree
7 years’ experience in clinical research (Masters degree will substitute for 1 year experience)
Strong background and work experience in Finance/budget management
Proficiency in Excel
Strong communication skills (efficient, effective, transparent)

Expert knowledge of clinical trials and clinical trial operations
Expertly build and maintain relationships with business partners

Strong customer service skills - including the ability to handle difficult conversation
Strong Data Analytics Skills
Strong executer with hands-on mentality, results-driven
Project management skills and understanding of methodology
Strong understanding of business and finance principles
Ability to manage complexity and successfully navigate in a matrix environment
Ability to identify and adapt to shifting priorities and competing demands, and maintain composure in difficult circumstances
Ability to motivate and hold individuals accountable to deliverables; ability to achieve objectives and milestones Navigate challenging communications diplomatically
Proficiency of the English language, both written and spoken
Innovative – not afraid to “think outside the box”
