Reporting the North America Sports & Entertainment Director of Finance, The Topps Company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team located in Manhattan. This high-profile team directly supports both the Direct-to-Consumer and Wholesale businesses for Topps Sports & Entertainment division by leading the month end close process, quarterly forecasting, management reporting, and strategic planning activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your finance and analysis skills, while supporting a fast-growing business.Key Responsibilities Assist with the forecasting process and own portions of the financial forecast models, including P&L, cash flow, and supporting schedules/analyses. Ensure their quality, timeliness, and accuracy.Lead month end close process and analyze actual performance vs. plan, prior year, and current forecastMaintain financial models to support sales forecast and product profitability analysisAssist with the preparation of Senior Management presentations/meetings (Monthly Business Reviews, Board of Directors meetings, forecast review meetings, etc.)Develop and maintain key metric reporting and ad-hoc analyses which includes but not limited to daily sales, KPI dashboards and vendor analysesCompile data for royalty report submissions to all licensees and 3rd partiesMonitor and reporting on accounts receivables and deferred revenueSupport the creation of the annual and multi-year strategic planIdentify and develop process efficiencies and automation to create standardized, efficient and repeatable processesSupport Wholesale and eCommerce Finance Managers for ad-hoc requests and decision-support analysisQualifications & Experience 1-3 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, and planning for an operational unit or in a corporate finance setting is requiredExperience with Oracle EBS and Hyperion, or similar systems is requiredExperience working within MS Excel; including vlookup, sumif and pivot tables is required, in addition to strong skills in and PowerPoint as wellWorking in a hybrid accounting and financial planning function is a pluse-Commerce experience, specifically experience in Magento 2.0, is preferredExperience with third-party reporting/compliance tools is preferred (including, but not limited to PayPal, Braintree, Google Analytics)Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of dataKey Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsDemonstrate the ability to see the big picture in complex situations by linking information or by considering an abstract or long-term perspective; critically evaluates problems, situations or processes into its component parts, understands the nature of those parts and their relationship to one anotherAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsGood accounting skills; knowledge of GAAPA high energy level with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesProven ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects, and effectively determine prioritiesAbility to anticipate analysis needs and use an investigative approach to workExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to understand technical details, processes, and system requirements
