Description

The Manager, Account Reconciliation performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. May include any or all of the following: balance sheet account reconciliation and control, works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Account Reconciliation includes any or all of the following:


Manage all activities related to the balance sheet account reconciliation process including the review of various account reconciliations.
Optimize the balance sheet reconciliation team and related functions.
Oversee balance sheet control projects, including a large project to optimize the account reconciliation tool, create and/or centralize balance sheet aging analysis, as well as other initiatives.
Build and sustain strong business partnerships and customer focus with key centers of influence within the business.
Manage a diverse team of associates, including oversight of offshore contractors.
Create a culture focused on continuous process improvement, timeliness, quality and accuracy.
Ensure integrity of financial statements
Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area.
Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.
Oversight and governance of chart of accounts and controls access to the Oracle GL
Assist with departmental projects and oversight where needed


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree
6 or more years of Finance experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications


2 or more years of management experience
Corporate Accounting exp
Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Certified Public Accountant license
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Access
Experience with SQL
Experience with TRecs or Reconciliation toolse
