POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our fast-growing technology firm. Opportunity for the right individual to help lead and grow our Finance function with a particular focus on technical accounting, controls, reporting and financial systems. The position will grow as the Company grows, to include new responsibilities and significant professional growth opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will manage a team of accountants responsible for all aspects of the Company’s accounting & reporting functions, with responsibility for technical and general accounting matters including payroll accounting, capitalized expense, revenue recognition/deferred revenue, lease accounting, fixed assets, intangibles, and inter-company accounting.
Management of the closing process by assisting the Controller with the timely close of our books for multiple entities on a monthly and annual basis.
Reconciling general ledger accounts monthly and completing monthly and ad hoc financial reporting.
Reconciling cash and related accounts to monthly bank statements.
Assisting the Controller in maintaining, building, and documenting a sound and effective internal control structure, ensuring appropriate segregation of responsibilities and adherence to GAAP accounting policies.
Assisting the Controller addressing manual processes with automation via financial systems and implementing those solutions.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
4-6 years experience managing accounting staff in a high transaction environment
BA degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Experience with an ERP system, Intacct a plus
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Power Point
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
CPA designation
Experience with tax accounting, including sales tax and VAT
Experience with Workday HRMS and/or Financials
