Job Details:

This Blackline Center of Excellence Lead will support the implementation of Blackline technology and tools within various accounting areas in support of Finance Transformation projects. Additionally, the position will work to enhance current Blackline functionality within existing modules to create best in class end user experiences while implementing process improvements to streamline accounting tasks and reporting. Primary duties include but are not limited to:


Support the design and implementation of Blackline software for tasks, journal entries, intercompany hub, matching, and other Blackline applications identified.





Perform system reporting and functions to ensure end users are efficiently utilizing Blackline technologies.

Partner with key stakeholders, the Blackline vendor, and accounting Team Members and leaders to ensure Blackline functionality is performing appropriately to support accounting and business needs.

Provide cross training so other Team Members are knowledgeable in how to perform Blackline functionality.

Assist accounting and plant locations with the roll-out and training of Blackline modules.

Investigate changes in end user traffic, usage and engagement, and assist in identifying root causes of any system issues to propose solutions to solve issues.

Design and perform ad-hoc reporting for end users and accounting leaders as needed.

Create prototypes of process improvements for Blackline modules and dependencies between work teams.

Work with accounting leadership and process owners and end users to implement process improvements.

Deliver timely and accurate support to the business for Blackline technologies.

Manage and monitor performance against SLAs.

Present results of status of implementation at meetings with the Blackline vendor and leadership.

Partner with accounting and the controls team to assess the impact of Blackline system functionality to internal controls and accounting requirements.


Education: Bachelors' degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred).

Experience: 2 years of combined and related experience in accounting or IT.

Special Skills: Excellent organizational skills.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of SAP, Tyson accounting processes, preferred and Blackline experience required.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate with all levels within the organization.

Management: The position currently will not have direct reports.

Reports to: Sr. Director – Corporate Accounting

Travel: Approximately 1-5 domestic trips a year.
