Responsibilities can include new system implementations, routine maintenance of databases and applications, upgrades, and maintenance releases; acting as a consultant to users on the best ways to use the software; coordinating with vendors on maintenance agreements, bug reporting, and fixes, and release management; and coordinating and interfacing with IT staff to ensure smooth support of existing systems, and implementation of new systems and enhancements. Furthermore,u003cbr /u003ethis position also analyzes the financial implications of technology investments, including but limited to costs of licensing,u003cbr /u003eprofessional services, operations/maintenance, and ROI.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eDemonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with internal and external stakeholdersu003c/liu003enu003cliu003ePerforms tasks correctly and according to policies and proceduresu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eEnsures applications are up to date and functioning as expectedu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eCoordinates with vendors and IT staff to obtain and implement latest fixes and releasesu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eActs as a consultant to users on how to best use the applicationsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eActs as resource and consultant to others in the IS department on technical requirements and features of the system/applicationu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStays abreast of new uses for and new features of the applications and underlying technical componentsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eDefines system requirements for new business and technical requirements and coordinates with vendors on best methods for achieving desired resultsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eActs as project manager for application changes, upgrades, and implementations as needed; facilitates project startup, including helping to define appropriate project team members, establishing meeting schedules and administration standards, and proving project team education on the implementation process; administration standards include documentation of all meetings, implementation, and support decisionsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eProvides ongoing quality assurance review of assigned applicationsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eWhere appropriate, provides high level assistance to trainers (i.e., question and answer sessions, etc.)u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eDevelops and implements detailed testing plans for new modules/programsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eEstablishes responsibilities of IT technical staff (Networks and Help Desk) and monitors to ensure appropriate backups and processing of routine jobs as scheduledu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eProvides ongoing support to users in all areas related to assigned applicationsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eParticipates as a team member and provides input via reporting observations and concerns and asking appropriate questionsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eEnsures that problems are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner and status is communicated to affected users and IS managementu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAttends all staff meetingsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eStays current with the latest technical findings, new products, and software enhancements through trade journals, attendance at seminars, and other meansu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssists with financial analysis of existing and planned technology expenditures. Review and track past and current spend. Prepare appropriate schedules for cost allocation purposes.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAssists and participates in annual budget planning activities.
