The Opportunity - Senior Manager, Financial Reporting
Reporting to the Controller, you will be part of the Accounting, Reporting and Compliance Team. You will provide leadership to complete all internal financial reporting. You will work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and the senior executive team.
What You’ll Do
Manage 2-3 Financial Analysts and lead the accounting team to complete all internal financial reporting including:
Month-end close process.
Maintain ERP Chart of Accounts and ERP optimization for the Company on a global basis.
Maintain a clean set of books – monthly/quarterly reconciliations supported by robust variance analysis.
Prepare timely monthly/quarterly internal financial reporting packages for the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and Audit Committee.
Enhance current-state variance analysis reporting.
Analyze financial information, interpret and make recommendations based on current and projected company financial position.
Work cross-functionally to support departmental executives in understanding actual vs. budget financial results.
Participate in the review of the company's budget.
Assist in creating accounting policies and procedures.
Review and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Make continuous improvements to financial processes.
Oversee and manage the accounts payable function.
Oversee the preparation and review of tax filings prepared by our third-party tax advisors.
Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset within the department around automation and process improvements.
Liaise with external auditors.
Assist with any ad hoc projects and requests as required.
What You’ll Need
Must be a Qualified CPA
A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting, reporting experience
A minimum of 5 years of people management experience
Must have industry experience; public company experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Must be passionate about building processes and controls; they are the foundation for complete and accurate financial statements.
Excellent knowledge of IFRS.
Familiar with standard financial and ERP platforms.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong skills in communicating, presenting, ability to convey financial concepts and information to cross-functional team members.
A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
