We are looking for a Data Science Development Program Manager to build and manage development and training programs for data science teams across the enterprise.
The Office of Data Science (ODS) seeks to advance data science as a practice at Liberty. In this role, you would introduce the first data science training programs in the enterprise. Data science is a rapidly evolving field, and it is critical that data scientists constantly develop new skills. We need to build training programs that will keep data scientists on the cutting edge. In this role, you will work closely with other members of the ODS to leverage their expertise.
Past working experience with data science and/or technology is NOT required but would be a plus.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and manage three data science development and training programs: a technical program for entry level data scientists, enhanced business and domain training for experienced data scientists, and machine learning operations (MLOps) training.
Consult with internal and external subject matter experts and data science leadership.
Measure and assess the current state of data science professional development across data science teams and recommend strategies to close any identified gaps.
Identify and evaluate internal and external training resources to deliver training programs.
Partners with senior management and Talent to ensure that the training and development opportunities offered to the assigned client audience consistently meet the needs of the company and the managers of targeted teams. 
Bachelor's degree (preferably within Organizational Development, Training, Business or a related field) or equivalent experience required
Advanced degree preferred
In addition, requires 7-10 years of related business experience to include 3-5 years of combined instructional design, performance coaching or program management experience
Prior management experience within a large insurance or financial services company strongly preferred
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include advanced presentation/facilitation skills
Demonstrates strong project management skills
