Where You Fit In

The Account Analyst - Specialty Business role provides account/finance support to Shell Catalysts & Technologies companies, a group of companies that provide leading catalysts, technical services and licensed process technologies to refiners, gas treating facilities and chemical plants around the world. The successful candidate will have experience in invoicing, cost control, and maintaining customer data in support of a commercial sales organization.

Principle Accountabilities will include:

Support to Specialty Business and Sales in Managing certain Account Activities:

• Create draft proposal/contract in the correct template for valves deals;

• Equipment Vendor Orders: create purchase orders to equipment fabricators;

• Invoicing: request billing team to raise invoices; check data on invoices; coordinate delivery of invoices to customers and support credit team in debt collection; and run reports in SERP;

• Cost Control: monitor acquisition costs; check accuracy of time-writing; and coordinate time-writing reallocation of cost bookings;

• Maintain Data: maintain certain customer data;

• Other: provide a variety of other delivery, data quality assurance and business systems support.

What We Need from You?

• Knowledge of invoicing and cost control: thorough and detail oriented, applying knowledge to ensure support reflects business objectives. Familiarity with invoicing for fuels products helpful;

• Commercial mindset and problem-solving skills: commercial acumen and ability to find acceptable solutions and options as may be required by the organizations supported;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills: strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills to easily connect, interface and build relationships with the organizations supported;

• Passion for business: energetic, enthusiastic, and passion to learn the Shell Catalysts & Technologies business;

• Collaborative workstyle: prior experience in working both independently and within a team framework; and

• Manage priorities: ability to manage time and prioritize workload.

Experience / knowledge:

• Experience: 3-5 years of financial/business support in activities as described above.

• Education: a degree or diploma in Finance or Business from a university or business school is a plus.

• Systems: Knowledge of SERP and SalesForce (customer records management tool) is preferred.

• Language: strong English verbal and written communication skills.
