Description
The Regional VP, Operations collects, analyzes and reports on various market data to connect financial outcomes with operational effectiveness. The Regional VP, Operations requires a in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.
Responsibilities
Be a part of the Region Operations and Finance World- Use your business knowledge to guide and manage a team of associates and help improve business performance.
Humana is seeking a Regional Vice President, Operations, that will provide leadership and direction in the areas of financial planning and operations to a team, working closely with the Regional President. You will provide fiscal oversight and operational efficiency of Central Region for senior products. You will provide direct support to this team, managing the annual budget, financial planning and projections, risk management and operational reporting while working with value-based providers, physicians, IPAs, C-Suite leaders and MSO leadership. This role will be a key external representative of the Region. The role interfaces regularly with regional, divisional and corporate leaders.
Develop strategic plans and objectives for the business unit and a fiscally responsible budget that supports its strategy
Direct the design and implementation of policies and procedures which result in increased performance, are properly integrated with other units, and comply with federal and state regulatory requirements
Establish and maintain management and performance controls by identifying, tracking, measuring and analyzing data to highlight problems, prevent losses, contain costs and direct the development of process improvements
Cultivate internal and external business relationships which will serve as resources for technical knowledge and performance improvement

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Progressive leadership experience in a finance role
At least 5 years of finance experience in the health solutions industry
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate in a positive manner
Progressive management and leadership experience with associates in multiple locations
Willingness to travel a minimum of 20%
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the Central Region (IA, NE, KS, MO, OK, AR) and key Humana providers
Experience working with physician groups, provider contracting, market operations, and Medicare Risk Adjustment and Stars/Quality functions
CPA designation
Understanding of SQL
Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Familiarity or experience with CMS bid mechanics and Humana bid tools
Additional Information
You will have direct/indirect reports, and you will report to the Regional President.
