Financial Analyst II

Profile

The Finance Analyst will be an integral member of the Commercial Finance team at ICON. The role of the Finance team at ICON is the front-end negotiation and management of commercial terms, at both partnership and transactional levels, that maximize downstream financial and operational performance and minimize the associated legal and contractual risks.The Role Review & interpret monthly results (financial & operational) to identify, communicate & agree necessary actions with operational teams, to achieve quarterly budget and forecast targets.Ability to problem solve and track resulting actions to achievement.Full ownership for rolling 12 month forecasts, to be submitted to Corporate Finance on a monthly basis. Submission must also include actions necessary to achieve budgetsSupport the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations and requests.Development and preparation of annual budget.Work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and cope with rapidly changing information.Lead the development and maintenance of a project utilization and/or recognized revenue forecasting system for projects including forecasting backlog from a project's task point-of-view, including fundamentals of activity based costing (models or effective know-how?).Implement and maintain processes with Project Management and Finance to manage projects with regard to utilization, recovery, revenue recognition revenue forecasting and project profitability.Validate data obtained via various techniques and expose new areas for development of a benchmarking/metrics system for costing and pricing purposes.Other duties as assigned.What you need Bachelors' Degree in a related field (accounting, finance, business)3 years of relevant experienceEffective verbal and written skills to work with peers, managers and Business Lead executivesStrong Microsoft Excel experienceVery strong focus on delivery of quality outputs in a timely manner to clients (internal and external)
