Key job responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Regional Underwriter perform a variety of functions including, but not limited to:
Preparing credit analyses and recommendations on large and complex credit relationships.
Analyzing and spreading customer financial information; which may include balance sheets, trend analysis, income statements, cash flows, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis. Utilize financial statements prepared at all levels of quality including opinions and notes, tax records, in house prepared financial statements and pro forma statements. 
Performing discounted cash flow analysis, capital budgeting (internal rate of return, net present value, etc.), and equity valuation calculations on large and complex loans.
Incorporating information from many sources to identify underwriting risks and articulate a concise recommendation.
Utilizing excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Advanced knowledge of credit and financing and the ability to analyze all components on standard and complex credits.
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), taxation, legal forms of organizations, and business law.
Proven knowledge of financial modeling techniques and preparation of pro forma financial statements.
Strong decision making skills as well as strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and team skills.
Advanced knowledge of complex lending, financial structuring and credit arrangements, and bank products.
Solid understanding of credit underwriting policies, procedures, processes, collateral valuation, and documentation.
Possess proven, effective problem solving skills as well as effective negotiating and influencing.
Possess advanced computer skills including MS Office applications and other related industry applications.
Must be able to travel to perform certain required duties
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Agribusiness, Business, Accounting, Economics or related field with more than 5 years of relevant work experience.
Agricultural credit analysis experience preferred.
