Downstream Contracting & Procurement procure an average of $40m of non-hydrocarbon goods and services from third parties on behalf of Downstream businesses every day, with a commitment to facilitating a profitable Downstream business. One of the enablers is to deliver accurate and timely payments that meet contractual commitments while ensuring reliable financial analysis and reporting of expenses and liabilities related to third party vendors, compliance to Group policies and safeguarding Shell reputation.

You’re going to play a key role in making this happen by being a key change agent in customer centricity in Accounts Payable and in applying process expertise and collaborating closely within the RTP/AP organization.

Dimensions:


Financial Dimension: Invoice value of approx. USD 1.8 billion per year
Business Dimension: approx. 90,000 invoices per year
Spanning at least 5 operating units
Several ERPs including GSAP, Chemicals SAP, Trading ERPs
Scope complexity - high. high scale & dynamic LOB with interfaces to CPiB, CP Operations and Finance teams
This position requires working closely with a large number of staff across different levels in CP, Businesses and Finance


Accountabilities:

As a Senior Analyst in Downstream East (Singapore, Shell Trading), your role will include the following:


Excellence in Customer Service (EICS) Champion



EICS focal for the Capability Build Pillar
Conduct EICS Refreshers to the team as necessary
Create EICS improvement plans for the team as needed



Quality Assurance



Responsible for understanding user experience based on the Survey results of the team
Review and analyse Survey Results provided by QA Specialists using the Quality Assurance Process
Participate in QA Calibration meetings



Reporting and Analysis



Provide monthly Trending Analysis of Survey results to Team Manager
Prepare monthly reporting and conduct SNAP KPI root cause analysis (both leading and lagging metrics) and recommend improvement opportunities
Team Focal for all stakeholder calls which may include presentation of SNAP KPI metrics
Generate reports from Salesforce as needed, including for Daily Huddle



Invoice Processing and Issue Resolution



Efficient processing of invoices in compliance with the policies, procedures and controls (including Global Payment Request Forms). Taking appropriate corrective action on invoices/credit notes, as necessary.
Monitor the workflow on a daily basis and taking necessary actions as required
Monitoring of mailbox for requests out of scope of SNAP
Coordinating and raising vendor master set-up or amend requests to Data Team
Act as peer coach to team members



Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) mindset and culture

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration preferred

• 2 years of operational experience in the process

• Strong accounting knowledge of AP process

• Proficiency/Expertise in using Salesforce

• Strong communication skills

• Fluent English

• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Innovative and open minded

• Good organizational skills with ability to succeed under tight deadlines

Work Shift : 9AM - 6PM
