GPS has a vacancy for a Finance Manager role based in New Brunswick. This role reports to the GPS Finance Lead for Legal Entity Reporting and Strategic Analysis.

Summary of the Role:

This role is responsible for all activities related toLegal Entity Reporting and Strategic Analysis for Primary GPS Manufacturing Entities and External Manufacturing (U.S., Puerto Rico, Ireland, and Switzerland). This role collaborates very closely with various stakeholders within GPS as well as Corporate Tax, Corporate Treasury, and Corporate Financial Reporting and Analysis. Another key responsibility of the role is the analysis of Indirect Taxes in collaboration with GPS, Corporate Tax and PwC.

Developmental Value of the Role:

This exciting role will provide the suitable candidate with a unique opportunity to learn about various parts of GPS organization including the management and legal entity financials as well as being exposed to diverse areas of Finance (Corporate Tax, Alliance accounting, InterCompany Profit, Transfer Pricing, Cash Flow). This role also plays a critical part in supporting our Global Logistic Operations (both Commercial and Clinical) acting as the PMO for the Indirect Tax governance committee

Main Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Finance Lead, the suitable candidate will gradually assume oversight over :


Financial Flow Review and Implementation for GPS.
Cooperation on preparation of Legal entity quarterly review, including variance analysis for presentation to management.
Preparation, submission and review with senior management of projections & budget for legal entity P&L
Coordinate and Consolidate Intercompany Budget & Projection with GPS sites, FD and Corporate Tax
Ensure Consistency and accuracy of GPS Cash Flow Projection, Elaborate Analysis and Provide Variance Commentaries and coordination within GPS to support Treasury and ICP.
Responsible for all LE and statutory reporting for US-GPS LE (5 companies)
Participate in Legal Entity Rationalization Initiative


PMO - Project Manager

Assist the Finance lead by participating in a wide range of Financial / Business Analysis to support our GLS operation in managing the Company's Indirect Tax Risk

The scope of the initiative encompasses:


Internal and external network
Commercial and clinical supply
Product Development
Business Development
Custom and Trade

Risk/Benefit analysis : Provide Support to establish new procedures and evaluate initiatives in order to provide recommendation to effectively and proactively manage all indirect tax risk for the organization
Conduct the monthly reviews, follow action implementations and drive decisions
Pilot and provide oversight of external advisor (PWC)


In addition, the suitable candidate should demonstrate :


Commitment to enforce a high level of internal controls and compliance with corporate policy across all areas of finance.
Commitment to a culture of continual review and improvement of departmental systems and procedures.
Strong business partnering skills


Minimum requirements:


Qualified Accountant with Technical knowledge of US GAAP ( MBA a plus)
At least 8 years experience in Financial Reporting and Analysis. International experience and/or Tax/Treasury experience is a plus.
Highly developed understanding of internal processes and controls.
Demonstrate commitment to goals and takes accountability
Displays effective communication skills with both internal and external business contacts
Strong analytical skills
Sets priorities to allow achievement of tasks within deadlines
Team player with ability to build and manage relationships within and across functions
Working knowledge of SAP /Hyperion and product costing as a plus
Ability to work accurately under pressure
