Credit Approval Manager
Description/Job Summary
The Credit Manager processes and analyzes new and existing credit applicants for the extension of credit. The incumbent establishes credit lines, monitors total exposure, and scrutinizes payment habits making adjustments as needed. This position communicates with stores and customers on credit related issues. The assistant Credit Application Manager and Credit Application Processors are supervised by the Credit Manager.
Environment
The incumbent is located in a busy office area and is faced with constant interruptions on a regular basis.
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent sitting, use of hands, talking and listening. Periodically this position walks, stands and reaches. Rarely, this position climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouch or crawl.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work: 7am-5pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities/Duties
Essential Functions:
Answers phones and addresses credit issues and concerns.
Analyzes job sheets for appropriate financing and approval
Analyzes new application for the extension of credit
Reviews accounts experiencing payment problems for continued credit privileges
Supervises Credit Application Processors
Monitors credit portfolio using computer reports (Aging, C.O.D., Password, Overlimit)

Word Processing
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Required Experience
The minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or at least 2 years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training.
