Job Summary
Provide financial advice and oversees the modelling of financial implications for key projects (e.g. investments, product enhancements, organic and inorganic strategic analyses and competitive benchmarking), including the development of business cases and long term financial projects. Directly responsible for key components of Xumo's Long Range Plan and ad hoc strategic finance support. Core responsibilities will require leveraging financial modeling capabilities with ability to coherently convey results and narrative to multiple internal and external stakeholders. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and Charter Communications will form a 50/50 joint venture that will bring our world-class Flex streaming platform, 4K streaming devices, voice remote and XClass TVs nationwide. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Participate and drive cross-functional planning / coordination on key projects including Long Range Plan (e.g., TV acquisition cost analyses, content ROI frameworks, impact to monetization from new product or GTM strategy shifts, etc.)
Manage recurring touchpoints on key operational initiatives and Increased proactive outreach on areas that impact near and long-term targets
Develops and manages the analysis of actual results against planned objectives and presents data in a logical and clear format so that management can develop action plans. Manages the preparation of presentations to management on actual results, budgets, forecasts etc.
Prepares and reviews budget materials. Analyzes emerging financial trends of the Company. Assists other areas in the preparation of statistical studies.
Works with FP&A team to align on financial results (planned and/or forecasted results) with variances explained and recommendations for future actions. Analyzes the ongoing profitability of all new businesses and/or programs entered into by the Company.
Interfaces with accounting staff and other departments, management and staff as relevant: financial planning experience, financial information and modeling, activity analysis and variance analysis.
Supervises, coaches, develops and prioritizes the workflow for relevant stakeholders.
Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications (e.g., ROI, etc.) for capital expenditures.
Interacts with other Finance team members in aligning on critical daily, monthly and annual KPIs including: variable and fixed costing, business unit Profit & Loss presentations, variances vs, forecast and headcount planning and forecasting.
Supports senior management in business analysis and strategic initiatives.
Leads process improvement initiatives and business metrics development for new and existing products
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
