The Opportunity Delaware North is hiring for an IT Category Manager to join our Procurement team based out of our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. The IT Category Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process and serve as a subject expert for assigned indirect procurement categories with emphasis on IT and Telecomm. You will develop and manage IT and Telecomm categories to achieve organizational goals by collaborating with functional areas, developing category strategies, leveraging scale, and building strategic supplier relationships.We are open to a remote-based candidate willing to be in-office at least one week every month, plus additional business travel as needed. Click here to learn more.Responsibilities nDevelop and implement category strategies based on operational needs, researching market conditions, business insights, and overall industry knowledge.nEngage stakeholder category teams to align and leverage the key program and product requirements across categories of responsibility.nWorks with category stakeholders and strategic sourcing team to develop new preferred programs that leverage spend, consolidate suppliers, rationalize SKUs, with the goal of delivering savings and increased value to Delaware North. nNegotiate terms and conditions that are consistent with company goals, standards, and ethics, while delivering the best overall value to the operating locations.nLiaise between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and contract terms.nAdhere to ethical procurement practices, including compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.nServes as a key team member to support the implementation of business strategies through advanced procurement initiatives and team alignment.nDevelop, evaluate, and prioritize ideas on new ways to grow the business through partnerships and cooperative deals that drive revenue and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.nQualifications nBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.nMinimum of 5 years of experience in an indirect procurement role with extensive IT and Telecom contract and category management experience.nStrong negotiation skills with experience negotiating commercial terms and service level agreements.nThe ability to effectively interact with executives and stakeholders at all levels of the organization and deliver effective presentations.nStrong financial acumen with consultative, analytical, and problem solving skills.nWho We Are At Delaware North, you’ll love where you work, who you work with, and how your day unfolds.
