Description
Enterprise Operations Enablement Business Intelligence is high performing team focused on data, data visualization and data science supporting Humana's Service Operations. The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer's experience.
Responsibilities
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will independently design, develop, document, and deploy reports using Power BI. In this role you will analyze data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction. The insights you provide will influence department's strategy and help define best practices and design standards. As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will make decisions on technical approach for projects that range in complexity. In this role you will also provide technical and guidance on design in partnership with team members and business partners.
Responsibilities:
Power BI development and administration
Lead large projects
Assist with best practices and business intelligence standards
Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards
Connecting to data sources, importing and transforming data
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Power BI, Power Query and/or DAX
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations including query languages SQL/PLSQL
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proficiency with dashboard lifecycle design / creation / deployment / maintenance
Able to communicate and present technical details to senior and executive leadership
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience with Call Center operations and Consumer Experience insights
Certifications for Power BI or Tableau
Experience developing in the Microsoft Power platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Online
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services
Strong background in front-end design, methodologies, and development
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Experience creating analytics solutions for operational teams
Additional Information
Vaccine Policy:
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health-screening questionnaire.
Work-At-Home Requirements:
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
