The Manager of Continuous Improvement (CI) will play a critical role within the BBCC Transformation work by defining key success measurements, reporting out on our sustained OI improvements, and moving our strategy forward by creating meaningful experiences customers love.
We are looking for an innovative professional with solid project management skills and process improvement experience to drive strategic business results. S/he will be responsible for leading OKR discussions and improvement of key business processes and operating models. This will entail understanding the current state process, designing and implementing future state, measuring results, and adjusting plans with learnings. It will be critical for this individual to think broadly across the organization and work closely with cross-functional partners in order to deliver lasting improvements.
Leadership
Actively engage with cross-functional teams to learn existing people, process, and technology issues and build a deep understanding of the current operating model.
Facilitates discussions with BBCC leadership on current state progress toward CI goals as well as uncovering and driving further savings across the organization
Be a process leader, facilitating teams to draw out potential issues and gaps
Partners with leadership to understand business challenges, project goals, success metrics and prepares materials for leadership discussions and decision making.
Articulate recommendations to leaders within Continuous Improvement, and build business cases to support senior leadership alignment
Partnership
Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze the current state of the business and find opportunities to become more efficient, eliminate waste and/or automate
Integrate with business partners to truly understand their business
Build credibility and trust with cross-functional partners to ensure effective communication and lasting results
Partner with finance to understand and quantify CI benefits and that are trackable
Understand and advocate for CI principles and framework
Project Management
Drive the communication with key stakeholders to keep them informed of deliverables, launches, and risks
Prepare documentation in partnership with finance, reporting, and other key stakeholders to inform our leaders of progress to goals, where we are behind/ahead, and upcoming CI work
Understands the operational roadmap and creates ongoing touchpoints during operational execution to measure progress milestone plans
Analysis
Lead the team to observe different vehicles to gather and analyze information- including, but not limited to: field visits, focus groups, brainstorming sessions, process mapping sessions, interviews, P&L reviews
Possess a deep understanding of financials and financial impacts and leverage to make decisions
Measure against changes to show impacts and drive continuous bottom line growth
Coach and drive continuous improvement mindset within BBCC
Required Qualifications:
6 years' Services, Merchant, Retail or related experience
2 years' management or leadership experience (e.g., leading a team or project)
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and facilitation)
MS Office proficiency
1 years' driving operational efficiencies using project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
6 years' progressive Services, Merchant, Retail or related experience
3 years retail management experience
3 years project management experience
3 years' financial management experience
4 years' people or resource leadership experience (indirect or direct)
2 years experience in a large global consumer-oriented business in the retail industry and/or a multi-channel/multi-brand business
Six Sigma Green belt or black belt
