Splunk is growing its Enterprise Data Management team to focus on the delivery of high-quality data to support good business processes and decision-making.u00A0As a Data Governance Analyst you will be working on finance analytics projects. This includes corporate & department-level metrics used to measure & report on the performance of the organization both to internal and external consumers.You will use your understanding of practices in data governance to work with business owners and build a framework for the data most critical to analytics, using data quality improvement within both analytics and in the business areas providing dashboards for the various business operations and use the quality insights you generate to drive better, data ownership and enforceable data content entry controls vital to improve and assure the quality of data used for metrics. When data quality issues are identified you will be responsible for ensuring good logging, prioritization, and resolution management in the EDM tracking tool. You will identify and raise issues for participating data owners and users to take up and help resolve. You will facilitate data working group established to drive enterprise standardization of corporate metrics, using topics & decisions from that group that drives improvement.Responsibilities:You will implement data quality within Splunk through the following:Profiling of current system data to support data content standards definitionDefinition, build & deployment of data quality rules using defined content standards, to identify issues within and between systems & processes used to support order to cash operationsLogging & prioritization of identified data quality issues, using various impact measuresDriving data issue identification, root cause analysis, resolution planning & execution with business and IT ownersWorking with Business owners to quantify the impacts of data quality issues to drive prioritization and remediation workSupport prioritized programs via quality services such as data issue detection, and clean-up vital to support deploymentProvide assurance on any data quality services delivered by external consulting servicesBuild & maintain a data dictionary & business glossary for Corporate Analytics & handle change controlRequirementsUndergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, Information Technologies, or related fieldA Master's Degree or MBA5 years of experience working with or in business operations and reporting processesMinimum 2 years of experience in data governanceu00A0Ability to engage, communicate & challenge effectively at manager level and above to provide clear, concise explanations of data governance practices & their importanceDemonstrable experience in implementing data governance within sophisticated, federated data, and system architectureExperience translating business data needs into technical languageu00A0u00A0Partner with IT teams to ensure effective QA / UAT of solution delivery.Experience working with offshore developer teams to scope, prioritize & lead work delivery pipelines & backlogsPrior exposure to regulations such as SOX, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCIAble to define and complete priorities semi-autonomously with assigned projectsWork optimally within an agile environment, using tools like JIRA, ServiceNow & confluence to prioritize, document and deliver data related services.Experience working with SAP BODS/Information Steward, Snowflake, Tableau, or similar data management & governance toolsExperience working with financial systems products such as SAP S/4 Hana, Ariba, RevPro, FinancialForceWhat We Offer You:A constant stream of new things for you to learn.
