About the Job:
The Senior Analyst, Finance will play an important strategic finance role at Rent the Runway by partnering closely both within the Finance organization and cross-functionally to drive business decisions and help to set long-term financial strategy. Inventory is Rent the Runway’s biggest investment by far, and this role will support critical business partnerships with our inventory planning team focusing on optimizing inventory return on investment and acquisition strategy. By way of first class management reporting, diligent analyses and strategic modeling, you will provide insight into business trends and new initiatives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative cross-functional environment. This role will partner closely with data science, inventory planning and other cross-functional teams to drive constant improvements in inventory profitability, rental/sale life-cycle strategy, and acquisition mix. You will also be involved in long term financial planning, unit economics modeling, analysis and tracking of key metrics, and other capital planning exercises.
What You’ll Do:
Work with the Director of Inventory Finance to lead the Finance team’s business partnership with Inventory Planning, Data Science and Operations, serving as both a strategic and analytical partner.
Support key initiatives that drive improvement in ROI, profitability, and forecast reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and provide data-driven recommendations that optimize ROI and improve overall profitability.
Track, analyze and report on inventory performance and related financial reporting line items relative to budget and forecast through detailed analysis and partnership with data science, operations and other cross-functional teams.
Build and manage monthly and annual forecasts for inventory spend/costs, acquisition mix, and liquidation/resale revenue.

through the pursuit of continuous process improvement and liaison with various business departments.
About You:
2-3 years experience, with a background in FP&A/strategic finance, banking or consulting.
You can work well with a breadth of functions including data science, operations, and accounting to analyze, package and evaluate financial performance.
You have demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and model building. Prior experience with BI Visualization tools, such as Looker or Tableau, and writing SQL queries is a plus but not required.
You are highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once and are able to work comfortably under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
You are flexible and have strong interpersonal skills.
