The GCS team acts as a catalyst for R&ES organization to accelerate the development of customer-centric, high added value energy solutions, and to advance the cultural change required to become a net-zero integrated energy business.

Through our commercial innovation program, we create the tools, processes, and organizational changes required to accelerate the transformation of our business from commodity, product-oriented towards customer-centric, high added-value solution development.

We aspire to excel in creating new contractual and commercial solutions to adapt products and technologies to the specific needs and situations of our customers, maximizing the value generated to all parties.

Commercial Innovation as a function will succeed through the development of tools and processes that enable a change in the commercial attitude of Shell, from a commodity, product driven and transactional approach, towards customer centric, solutions development. To enable bridging the gap from where we are to where we need to be, we need faster and higher volume of exchange and interaction between our customer-facing population, across different regions, sectors and business, and the ability to summarize their business structures, success cases, and extract the relevant elements that other customers/situations may benefit from.
