Public Relations

  • Be responsible for defining and leading execution of the Company’s public relations and communications strategy
  • rnt
  • Work with Vaccitech’s C-Suite team and key members to develop, plan and execute a comprehensive, best-in-class corporate communications program, that aligns with and promotes company strategy and leverages a strong understanding of the investment, biotech and pharmaceutical communities to enhance the perception and visibility of Vaccitech

  • Manage third party PR consultants, whom you will be working hand in hand with in delivering on the PR strategy
  • rnt
  • Collaborate with various functions within Vaccitech, including business development, finance, research and development to develop consistent messaging, external and internal.

  • Proactively generate media coverage aligning with key messaging and business priorities – national, international, trade and regional.

  • Initiate and develop stories and narratives for a range of mediums, including but not limited to online, social media, print, broadcast, podcast

  • Coordinate communications across each of the Company’s programs, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, product development timelines and scientific and corporate objectives

  • Drafting, management of editing, review and approvals processes for announcements.

  • Handle spokespeople for media engagements

  • Be responsible for defining and maintaining Company’s branding

Investor Relations

  • With CEO and CFO’s engagement, lead interactions and communications with existing and potential shareholders and sell-side analysts; be responsive to information needs in compliance with company policies and securities regulations
  • rnt
  • Collaborate with Company leadership to advance engagement with sell-side analysts, with the goal of securing coverage that recognizes portfolio value and aligns with corporate growth trajectory
  • rnt
  • Gather real-time insights and analysis from analyst reports, investment sentiment and competitor activity, and effectively prepare Company leadership team/other internal stakeholders for external interactions
  • rnt
  • Share market intelligence and investor perceptions of the Company’s performance, and make sure investors are represented as a key stakeholder in the formation/execution of program strategy and communications

  • Assist in development of strategic communications directed at the investment community related to corporate and product milestones, quarterly financial results, annual report, and company presentation

  • Assist in the management of the corporate overview presentation and the entire corporate website

  • Help organize, plan, attend and track scientific conferences, investor roadshows, presentations, speaking engagements

  • Serve as a primary contact and resource for fielding press and investor calls, requests for information, and media and shareholder questions

  • Work with and manage external consultants

Qualifications and/or experience required to perform the role

  • 5-10 years of Corporate Communications/IR experience at a biotech/pharma/life sciences company, or an agency with a relevant focus
  • rnt
  • Strong planning, organizational, time and project management skills to prioritize and complete multiple assignments and coordinate workflow
  • rnt
  • Must be able to work in a multi-tasking environment and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • rnt
  • Has superb written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages for inspiring
  • rnt
  • A science (biology or chemistry) degree is desirable.
