GENERAL SUMMARY
The Sr. Assortment Analyst owns providing insights into the assortment architecture to Merchandise Planning, Allocation and Merchants. The Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reviewing the assortment at the subclass, brand, and tier level. This position is responsible for providing insight into the assortment architecture strategy to increase productivity and influence Merchant decisions.
REPORTS TO: Sr. ProjectManager

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads and manages the assortment architecture insights for Merchandise Planning, Allocation and Merchants.
• Builds strong partnerships with cross-functional teams in Merchandise Planning, Allocation, and Buying to support assortment strategy.
• Provides in season choice count review by tier, by subclass.
• Recommends actions and communicates issues that relate to the assortment being over or under assorted at the tier and subclass level.
• Prepares for and participates in business meetings to ensure that the assortment architecture aligns with the Merchandising strategy.
• Presents information and recommendations.

• Analyzes ROS performance by tier by fashion and all store assortments.

• Provides direction on minimum presentation by tier on all store and fashion buys.

• Provides assortment review and choices for Shop in Shop and Brand launches.
• Provides assortment hindsight for line review meetings.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Strong statistical and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on communicating financial concepts
• Proficient in Excel, Data Warehouse/Business Objects, Arthur Planning Systems and JDA
• Experience leading a team and developing direct reports in a planning role
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Requires 2-4 years of experience in a planning or analytical role.
 

EDUCATION:
• BS degree in Business, Finance or related study; or equivalent work experience
