Description
The M&A Finance Analyst 2 identifies, researches, analyzes, makes recommendations and negotiates potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to support the organization's growth objectives. Makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. The M&A Analyst 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The M&A Finance Analyst 2 makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
2-4 years of professional/related work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications
Experience building and evaluating financial models
Knowledge of general financial and accounting principals
Strong work ethic, detail orientation and passion for excellence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for top tier consultancy firm or in a public accounting firm
Prior healthcare industry industry experience
Additional Information:
This role will be located at the Humana Tower, Louisville, KY. The workstyle will be hybrid office.

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
