Job Description
You'll love working in a fast-paced financial analyst role, embedding best practice in day-to-day operations, and informing the long-term planning of the organisation. Your primary focus will be to integrate financial and non-financial data across the charity by providing insightful analysis that supports decision making. However, this a very varied role so there will be plenty of opportunities to be involved in a wide range of tasks covering the financial analysis remit, for example in supporting with benchmarking data against both internal and external metrics and in simplifying and improving processes, systems, models and reports.
You'll be joining a dynamic team as we continue our modernisation and transformation programs. This is a very exciting time for the Diocese of Westminster, and we believe that as a team we can continue to make changes that truly benefit the local communities that we serve.
In summary, the Financial Data Analyst role will be to:
1. To manage the collection and integration of financial and non-financial data across the charity, as a basis for insightful analysis

2. To produce high quality reports, with actionable data insights and clear recommendations

3. To identify trends and draw inferences from complex data sets to support decision-making

4. To simplify and improve processes, systems, models and reports

5. To provide training to colleagues and stakeholders to improve their understanding of data, trends and projections

6. To collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data is presented and interpreted accurately

7. To maintain data governance best practice and promote compliance within the organisation

8. To support the charity's mission by benchmarking data against internal and external metrics

9. To contribute to the overall success of the diocese by contributing to strategic initiatives and projects

10. Ad hoc tasks as required, including holiday cover for members of the Finance team
The Successful Applicant
At least 5 years' working in a financial data analyst role or similar
Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of MS Dynamics GP and MS Power BI, as well as MS Office Suite - with extensive experience using Microsoft Excel
Summarising, analysing and interpreting numerical data to identify issues/trends and patterns
To be successful in this role, you will be a flexible organised and self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role for the Finance team, so we are looking for someone who shares our values, demonstrates our behaviours and has the experience and enthusiasm to fill the role.
