Our Delaware office seeks a bankruptcy litigation associate with three to five years of experience representing parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and creditors' rights litigation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated nationwide bankruptcy litigation practice and work in an expanding yet supportive team-oriented atmosphere, while enjoying the benefits and resources of a national law firm. Our Bankruptcy and Restructuring group focuses on corporate restructurings, including debtor and creditor representations in chapter 11 cases and chapter 9 municipal insolvencies, as well as distressed asset acquisitions and restructurings both in and out-of-court. Ballard also maintains one of the top commercial landlord practices in the nation and appears in nearly every major retail bankruptcy case filed in the US. Qualified candidates must have superior academic credentials, communication skills, and written work product. Active bar license is required, licensed in DE is preferred.

The base salary for this position will range from $205,000 - $270,000 depending upon experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent standing, walking, bending and stooping. Typing ability for the use of a personal computer.
