Description

Responsibilities

The IT Finance Professional collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions on, for example, acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, mergers, or asset management. Analyzes the financial implications of proposed IT investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives. Primarily responsible for IT month end close (reviewing financials, preparing and submitting journal entries), monthly variance explanations, monthly forecasting, budgets and projections (including documenting assumptions and changes), reviewing contracts in aSSIST and providing the purchase order coding, and collaborating with other IT team members on various IT related financial tasks/issues. Facilitates position management within IT operational areas. Compiles data and builds financial reports for senior management and operational partners. Develops an understanding of IT's concept of funding mechanisms. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree
5 or more years' experience in finance/accounting or operational management
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, and Access, and multi-dimensional databases
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong analytic skills with attention to details
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Preferred Qualifications


Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Certified Public Accountant
Previous health insurance and/or IT industry experience
Experience with Hyperion, PowerBI, and Oracle applications
