We are recruiting for a Financial Accountant
to join client, a global leader based in Shannon Co Clare
. This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract role with innovative and dynamic company. If you are a Qualified Accountant with 2 - 3 years PQE this is a excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career!
The role offers a hybrid model of working from home. You will become part of a well established team with full on boarding and training for the successful candidate.

Financial Accountant
Position Summary
Working as part of the accounting team to manage the day-to-day financial activities of the organisation; control its financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, system and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. This role will involve daily interaction with the US and China Accounting teams.
Main Responsibilities:
Assisting with the budget to actual review monthly
Assisting with the annual budget preparation
Preparation of monthly payroll for Irish organisation and subsidiaries
Management of the consultants payment run
Management of the expense software
Preparation of subsidiary accounts (journals, payroll, reporting packs)
Goods receipts in matching throughout the month
Accruals maintenance
Liaising with internal / external auditors
Business unit reporting
Adhoc projects as required
Reporting to:
Senior Finance Director
Required skills
Fully Qualified Accountant
2 years relevant work experience in a similar position.
Sarbanes Oxley knowledge essential as you will be main point of contact for all controls being set and audited
Exposure to Irish and US GAAP.
Previous Payroll experience with knowledge of Sage Micropay payroll software is an advantage.
Knowledge of Great Plains (advantageous) / previous experience working with different accounting packages.
Excellent computer skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience working in project work, data analysis and creation of process improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is essential in this role.
Experience of working to deadlines and managing key finance deliverables.
Group reporting including prior experience with consolidating reporting packages an advantage.
