Aon is looking for an Investment Analytics AnalystThe Investment Analytics Analyst provides support to the firm’s discretionary consulting operations in the execution and delivery of consulting services to institutional pension plan clients and in the new business acquisition process. This person is responsible for the coordination and completion of data and analytical work for a variety of internal and external clients. The position will also support the sales and marketing efforts through the maintenance and oversight of performance exhibits and client data management, including the calculation of composite returns following GIPS standards (and other standards as may be required). The primary tasks managed by this team include: Maintenance of GIPS compliant performance composites; provision of advice on appropriate use and required disclosure language; interaction with third party verification agent for annual reviews.Development of new client level composites, including determination of data requirements, analysis of gaps in historical records, resolution of any critical data issues, design of composite calculation engines and required disclosures.Timely responses to requests for performance exhibits coming from prospective clients in RFPs or otherwise, coordination of overall policies and individual responses with Compliance. Responsibilities: Utilize third party tools to calculate, verify and reconcile rates of return. Code and compile returns into composites for use primarily in sales efforts.Prepare and organize data for client performance reports and ad-hoc report requests.Maintain and manage the construction and calculation of performance related firm statistics.Manage a client data warehouse to facilitate the provision of representative account performance exhibits.Work with multiple consultants and coordinate deadlines for specific deliverables.Interact with technology team and assist data mining with entry of information into databases.Maintain a high level of competence on performance related systems.Operate with limited supervision in completing assigned responsibilities.Provide support for assigned project and research responsibilities, as needed. Required Skills: 2 years of experience in an investment management environment. Bachelor’s with course work in business/mathematics or related experience preferred.Working understanding of financial/investment concepts and math.Excellent analytical skills.Outstanding Excel skills, including use of macros and programming a plus.Working understanding of GIPS a plus.Experience with RIA regulatory and compliance requirements a plus.Experience with client performance calculation and attribution systems (PARis, Vestek, FactSet, BNY Eagle STAR) a plus.Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and within a team on a variety of projects, receive instructions from several people and meet project deadlines.Excellent planning and organizational skills.Good oral communication skills.Some project management experience a plus.Experience with trust accounting, security trading, cash management, performance calculation/monitoring, performance related statistics, and client reporting a plus.Desire to pursue the CFA, CAIA and/or CIPM not required but a plus.
