If you are passionate about these things, this role will be your chance to influence Shell Canada’s Social Investment delivery at a national strategic level.
This Social Investment Advisor role is focused on national social investment strategy and delivery, strategic engagement and stakeholder management, and outcome measurement and reporting. The role is within the Corporate Relations function on the Corporate and Internal Communications team responsible for country level reputation and engagement.
Accountabilities:
Launch and manage Shell Canada’s refreshed Social Investment (SI) Strategy
Update and oversee the Shell Canada Disaster Response Plan
Work with global SI network, Shell Canada Social Performance and Indigenous Relations managers, and Corporate Relations asset focals to ensure aligned approaches and plans
Stakeholder management with country level SI partners and represent SI thought-leadership on behalf of Shell Canada externally
Support country level strategic sponsorships working with Corporate Relations, Reputation and Campaigns Advisor
Manage SI ethics and compliance, payments, budgets, and reporting requirements
Communicate SI strategy, milestones, outcomes etc. through internal and external communications including web, social media, feature articles and intranet
Evaluate opportunities (including managing and responding to ongoing SI requests), lead contract negotiations, and execute brand management activities for social investments and sponsorship campaigns and programs
Additional support for Shell Canada Corporate and Internal Communications teams as required
Skills & Requirements
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar role; Social Investment and Communications experience is a must
Bachelors’ Degree in a discipline field is a plus
Flexibility and preparedness to travel (up to 25% of time)
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
