Job summary:
The Financial Specialist will have primary responsibility for financial transactions pertaining to wheat raw materials. This position will be a key support role for the company's Settlements team. This position reports to the Settlements Manager and has direct accountability to Risk Management.

Responsibilities:
Monitoring open contracts
Closing completed contracts
Confirming balances with suppliers for contract overfills and underfills
Receive wheat into inventory
Process settlements with suppliers
Daily monitoring of reports to validate transactions have been processed properly
Ensuring consistency and compliance of policies across all locations and functions
Creating processes that are efficient and simple with effective controls
Complete other projects, tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated capability to collaborate and execute cross functionally
Strategic thinking to establish, improve and stream line processes and procedures
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), presentation and influencing skills
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience working in a business environment
Experience with implementing, and monitoring internal controls and effective policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
1 years in accounting or finance positions with extensive experience working in a team environment
General Ledger experience, including Balance Sheet reconciliation
Contract application experience
Commodities background
