Job Summary: This position will support the global harmonized KPI's, optimization and efficiency improvement objective. The position requires discovering of improvement opportunities across various Sensient manufacturing facilities. The work includes building tools to understand capabilities and capacities of the facilities, understanding key processes & performance parameters within those facilities. The position requires a deep understanding of cost structures in-order to support decision making on selection of optimal manufacturing facility. The position requires a very close working relationship with plant personnel to create operational management tools. This position is a development position for future and broader operational responsibilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Support Global Director of Operations by regularly providing analysis of operational data of various manufacturing facility Study operational and performance data in depth for identification of opportunities which improves efficiencies and reduces operating cost Continuously track manufacturing bottleneck of each processes across all manufacturing facilities Create and track progress of each implemented improvement opportunities Maintain manufacturing data integrity and accuracy Continuously correct data discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting of operational performance Actively participate on new projects Provide analysis to support capital investment plans based on manufacturing needs Interact with planning and finance team for information gathering and data accuracy KPI's Continuously improve tools for tracking of global harmonized KPI's with high level of accuracy Analyze the data and suggest process improvement opportunities. Maintain close relationships with Plant Managers, Production Managers, and Process Engineers to ensure data collection through stream lined processes Drive standardization of processes and data collection Optimization Work directly with sites to understand critical differences in performance and help identify opportunities to improve. Maintain an overview of all optimization activities across site, key deliverables, and implementation plans and timelines. Review demand and capacity Utilization. Build capacity utilization, capabilities, and costing tools for each site. Provide analysis of site performance, utilization, and cost and suggest optimal operating points. Provide analysis of future potential capacity coming from optimization and capital. Provide input on costing in regards to site of manufacture and ensure alignment with Plant Manager on new production volumes. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business/Finance with Production Experience, or related discipline. Three years of experience in food and/or chemical processing plant preferred. Very high level user of Microsoft Application with emphasis on excel. Good understanding on manufacturing metrics and definitions Able to articulate discussion on analysis and recommendation Experience with and able to use Financial Management Software, such as JDE, SAP, or equivalent. Enjoys implementing new tools, searching into new tools and software. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is in a professional office environment. Sensient professional dress code applies 25% travel to production facilities Skills & Abilities: Experience with multiple product supply chains in the food industry is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Dynamic and able to multi-task. Project management skills a plus.
