Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the 600 million Cobb business unit. This role is instrumental in providing strategic direction and financial leadership to the global Cobb organization to deliver the stated financial and business goals of Cobb-Vantress Inc. This role encompasses building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships including the President Cobb and the Group President - Poultry.
Core Responsibilities:
Partner with the Business leads responsible for managing and delivering financial goals for the 600 million Cobb businesses
Ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis of financial results and financial trends.
Provide financial oversight and leadership in the development of the Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan for the business.
Responsible for the spending efficiency accurate tracking and reporting and overall control of the company s International spend inclusive of monthly and quarterly account analysis and reporting to our external audit partners.
Develop and lead a high performing team of fifty-four accounting finance professionals seventeen in US twelve in Asia-Pacific sixteen in South America and nine in Europe Middle East Africa capable of actively and effectively engaging with the business teams to drive value creation across the network.
Provide oversight and leadership to the domestic Purchasing Sourcing group as they ensure transparency of spending and generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
Responsible for monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis processes inclusive of financial communication to leadership teams
Provide insight and analytical support to the development of quarterly and annual external investor messaging and support of 10Q and 10K. Develop and drive necessary financial policies procedures and internal controls.
Play a leading role in directing change initiatives and process improvements.
Maintain effective systems and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP IFRS requirements.
Benchmark key financial processes and develop any required improvement plans to maintain top quartile performance
Lead the operating financial element of strategic initiatives of the Company including acquisitions and divestitures
Drive process change to affect efficiencies in overall accounting finance and business processes.
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance field is required Experience: 10 plus years accounting and/or finance experience required with previous supervisory experience Computer Skills: Strong computer skills: advanced Excel skills a plus Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with senior business management and F&A staff Supervisory: Position is responsible for supervising a staff of Accounting Managers with expanded staffs Travel: 10 or more domestic trips per year
