Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position will supervise a Team of Non-Exempt individuals that will focus on the operational accounting role of the Live Swine division within Tyson Foods. This Team is a section of the Tyson Fresh Meats Accounting Team. Team size is expected to be 10 or fewer Non-Exempt Team Members. A portion of this team will work with high volume transactional work while a portion of the team will require strong analytical and various computer skills. The Sr. Supervisor will not only supervise the activities of the department but will hire train and mentor the team members. The Sr. Supervisor needs to be analytical have strong computer skills and be a problem solver. The Sr. Supervisor will recommend process improvements and always be reviewing functions and recommending enhanced ways to deliver the same or better results. The Sr. Supervisor will be responsible for creating and monitoring meaningful goals and metrics for the immediate team as well as working closely with the Director of Swine Operations in determining meaningful metrics for the entire Live Swine Division. The Sr. Supervisor must maintain strong internal controls over accounting processes. Solid relationships must be built within.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent work experience Experience: 5 plus years accounting experience or operational accounting experience and supervisory experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills at an advanced level; Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook Experience preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate with all levels within the organization.
Supervisory: This position will be responsible for supervising a group of Non-Exempt Team Members 10 or fewer who perform transactional or analytical duties.
