Reporting to the Senior Director Financial Services – Operations and International, the Senior Manager Financial Services is responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the North America Airports, Contact Centers, Customer Care and In-Flight Service branches in the ongoing management of their business activities including Planning, Budgeting, Reporting, Analysis and Cost Transformation.
Job Description 

Provide financial leadership and counsel to several key operational branches in the ongoing management of their business activities. 
Working with business unit senior management teams, develop and recommend financial goals, objectives and strategy aligned with the Corporation overall financial plan. 
Develop and implement financial management controls and processes to ensure adherence to corporate by-laws and assist internal clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives. 
Provide direction and support to a group of 3-4 subordinates as to foster professional development.
Train and support managers and subordinates based in YUL in execution and delivery of financial goals and alignment with organization priorities. 
Effectively communicate business unit financial results and provide overview of the Corporation financial situation. 
Provide counsel regarding the interpretation and application of corporate by-laws, financial/accounting policies and financial systems information. 
Develop financial forecasting processes enabling clients to act proactively as to improve financial/operational performance and ensure the achievement of financial goals and objectives. 
Develop and implement Financial Performance Indicators for better understanding of the cause and effect relationship of costs and to assure the efficiency and the performance of the branch.
Deliver value added service to internal customers by identifying, and evaluating profitability enhancing opportunities and strategies, internal process changes and new cost savings opportunities
Establish effective working relationships with business unit groups and function as an integral member of the senior management team. 
Develop and manage effective working relationships with executives, branch heads and strategic partners and ensure buy-in of solutions and changes in processes and strategy.
Lead financial evaluations and provide recommended course of action regarding business unit projects/initiatives 
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of activities/issues/trends pertaining to the airline industry domestically and internationally.
Ensure a consistently high-level of quality in service provided relative to both timelines and accuracy, and user-friendly input

Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business or Finance in a pre-requisite 
Accounting and/or business designation (CA, CGA, CMA, MBA, CFA) is an asset. 
Minimum of eight (7) years’ experience in financial planning and control. 
Strong business sense and judgmental capabilities 
Well-developed knowledge of financial planning and financial analysis techniques 
Proven leadership qualities and strong sense of initiative 
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environment 
Excellent ability to communicate at an Executive level in both verbal and written formats for presentation, analytical and report generation purposes 
Solid work ethics, high degree of energy and dedication 
Keen interest in the airline industry 
Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple projects, ability to shift priorities and work under pressure 
Very proficient on Excel, PowerPoint, Access and experience working with financial software/applications.
