**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is looking for a FinOps Analyst to join the Business Finance team. As a FinOps Analyst you will receive mentoring in both finance and cloud operations. You will be asked to collaborate with various teams from both finance and product to monitor and optimize cost-savings tracks. Your responsibilities will include accurately processing and allocating the AWS and Google accruals and month-end charges for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in coordination with the accounting team. In this role, you will also be asked to take ownership of forecasting cloud spending each month. The day-to-day responsibilities for this role include:
Accurately processing and allocating the AWS and GCP accruals and month-end bills for all of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***..
Allocate charges based on usage to appropriate divisions on the first business day of the month.
Monitor and report on AWS Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.
Prepare and manage a monthly presentation for cloud costs against plan and forecast for finance and project managers.
Innovate and present cloud cost optimization opportunities.
Identify anomalies in cloud spending and diagnose causes while providing feedback to rectify.
Monitor usage of third-party tools to avoid excess overages.
Engage with Product and Engineering for ad hoc reporting.
Must be located in or around Boston, MA. Primarily remote, with ~5 days per month in-office.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Computer Science
Strong oral and written communication skills required
Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets
Experience with Public Cloud cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Cloudability, etc.) preferred
Prior experience creating reports/dashboards in BI tools (Domo, Apptio, etc.) a plus
FinOps Certification a plus
Ability to operate independently with an entrepreneurial mindset
Willingness to continually learn and adapt
